Age: 16
Apparent Age: 16
Date of Birth: June 9th
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Powers:
Affiliation: X Men
Personality:
Blaire is an energetic, fun-loving, and outgoing person. She is not one to sit still, and she will do anything she has to do in order to keep herself entertained. Blaire's need for fun can get her into difficult positions, because her idea of fun is not always safe or approved of by others.
Blaire tries to portray the idea that she is independent and self-sufficient, but without Xavier's Institute she would have nowhere to go. This is a fact that she absolutely hates. It makes her feel as if she has no choice but to stay at the school. Despite the fact that she wants everyone to believe she does not need anyones help, Blaire does not believe she could survive on her own.
Blaire's stubbornness is the main reason why she insists on forcing others to believe she can make it on her own in the world. She is a 'my way or the high way' type of girl. She does not take no for an answer, and when she does not get her way she can become a bit aggressive, because she has a short temper. Even though Blaire has a very stubborn and aggressive side to her, if you do not give her a reason to dislike you she can be one of the most delightful people you will ever meet.
In one simple sentence she is energetic, outgoing, thriving to be independent, and very stubborn.
Family:
Matt- father, alive
Mary- mother, alive
Daniel- 21 yr old brother, alive (possible mutant)
History:
Blaire was born in Albany, New York to a typical family. She lived in a three bedroom apartment with her parents and her older brother Daniel for the majority of her life. While growing up, Blaire was always the difficult child in her family, and her parents never tried to hide that fact. When she was younger Blaire was constantly getting into fights, and despite the fact that her parents enrolled her in kindergarten a year early she was never very interested in school. The only thing Blaire ever took interest in was dancing. Her parents thought Blaire's dreams were silly and childish, but Blaire was an aspiring dancer.
It was not until Blaire turned ten that her powers began to make their appearance. Blaire's first discoverary was her ability to flame. She was alone in her bedroom, and she really wanted something to eat. The next thing she knew her body was surrounded with fire, and she reappeared in her kitchen. She did not tell her parents about this, because she was not sure what they would say. Her parents finally realized Blaire was a mutant when she developed pyrokinesis. Blaire and her family had been on their way to her dance lessons. Her brother commented on how foolish she was for thinking she would ever become a great dancer. This ticked Blaire off and without realizing what had happened the back seat of their mini van burst into flames. This just gave Blaire's parents another reason to favor Daniel more.
Even though they knew Blaire was a mutant, her parents never truly accepted that fact. For nearly six years they spent every waking minute making useless attempts to get Blaire to push her powers aside. They thought that if she ignored her powers maybe they would go away. Shortly after Blaire turned sixteen and then began her junior year in high school she could no longer take the torment from her parents. They were constantly making comments about how "distracting" or "unusual" her powers were.
That night she did the most logical thing her teenage mind could think of doing. She packed as much clothing and personal belongings into two backpacks as she could, and she left. She had no clue where she was going. All she knew was she was not staying in Albany.
Blaire spent two weeks moving from friends places to motels to abandoned run down houses. During those two weeks she slowly moved herself farther and farther away from her family and her hometown. After about a week of traveling by planes, trains, and automobiles she finally ended up in California.
Having a little extra cash on her, Blaire decided to finally do something semi-enjoyable. She stopped in one of the local museums. It wasn't Blaire's idea of fun, but it was better than doing nothing. Being a typical rambunctious teenager, Blaire drew a little bit more attention to herself than she wanted, mainly due to her loud mouth. When one of the security guards attempted to escort Blaire out of the museum she lost it on him. The screaming and shouting was not so much of a problem, but the fact that flames had engulfed her hands was. Just her luck that day others from The Californian Institute for Higher Learning had also been at the museum. When she tried to run from the museum security guard they stopped her, and after some coaxing Blaire agreed to give the Institute a try.
Today she has been at the school for a little less than a month, and she is still trying to adjust. She does not apprieciate the rules and restrictions that are set in the school, but she is greatful she has somewhere to go.

Blaire silently walk down the halls of the Institute. Her hands carefully ran against the wall as she inched closer to the kitchen. Fortunately for everyone else at the school Blaire was in one of her odd moods. That odd mood meant that for once Blaire was speechless. She was not running. She was not shouting. Blaire was just not being her normal self, but it did not seem like anyone was complaining. Her 'normal self' could be a bit annoying at times, even obnoxious, so there was no doubt in Blaire's mind that the others were probably enjoying the short break from her crazy antics.
She came to an abrupt halt in front of the kitchen door. It was empty, just the way Blaire liked it. Still dressed in a pair of blue cotton pajamas and a tank top, she yanked the fridge door open scanning for anything worth eating. It was times like these she wished she was back home. At the same time she knew she would never be accepted by her family again, but at least at home she had a pantry full of junk food. There was still good food to eat here, but she liked her own kitchen better.
Blaire quickly grabbed up a container of yogurt as if any second someone else was going to swoop down and steal it from her. She opened it up, discarded the lid, and stood there awkwardly. It was better to stay in the kitchen. That way she would not have to speak to anyone else, but she still felt like an outcast just standing in the kitchen like that. From what she could seen, nobody else at the institute would hide away in the kitchen like she was. Then again maybe she was the only outcast here.
