People who don't know Ginger view her mainly as shy, but those who are close to her know there's more to her than that. She's funny and often ditsy, with and easily distracted mind and a clumsiness she can't help.
Often Ginger is mistaken for being a weak girl who needs protecting, but on the contrary she has an incredibly brave heart and a will power to reckon with. Those she prefers peace to conflict, if anyone threatens what she believes in then she'll always stand up and fight for it.

History:On a quiet, moonless night a mutant girl of barley 16 years struggled give life to 2 baby girls. After a great struggle she managed to bring them into the world, naming them Willow and Ginger. From birth these girls were destined for great things, it was in their blood, marked in their mutant genes. But their lives were also destined to be wrought with danger. At barley an hour old their lives were already threatened-someone was coming, searching for the girls to take them away, their mother could sense it and she wasn't going to let it happen. Only an hour after giving birth she took the babies and ran and she didn't stop running, not for her whole life.
It was assumed that Ginger would be a mutant but she didn't discover her powers in till she was 10, around the same time as her sister. It was a relief for her mother, now she could have help fighting of the danger that came their way.
Two years later Gingers life started to change, and it was for the worse. Her family was attacked by a group of angry humans, intent on the destruction of all humans. Her mother, her firmly believed in not harming humans, just sat as she was beaten to death. Ginger and Willow witnessed their mothers death but were still young and unsure of how to stop it. Then, at 12 years old, they were forced to look after themselves. They knew no one else, their mother had always kept them separate from society. Occasionally they ran into others of their kind but usually they travelled by themselves, doing anything they could to survive.
After a year of travelling they ran into a group of mutants called the acolytes. When the acolytes heard there story they offered them a place with them but Ginger refused, she knew what they did and could never bring herself to do the same. But her sister, who had been bitter towards humans since her mothers death, accepted there offer. Both hurt and angry by her sisters betrayal, Ginger fled again. She was alone now and the world suddenly seemed much scarier, with every corned she turned she never knew what to expect. She when heard about a mutant school not far when she was she didn't think twice before going to it.. The school took her under her wind and cared for her but she never felt quite at home there, her instincts were to travel and occasionally she would just disappear for a period time. But no matter where she went she would always return.

The figure was in fact a young girl, way to young to be out this late-especially by herself. But this girl, Ginger was her name, had no where else to be and had no one else to be there with. At every noise she would jump, and at every corner she would hesitate. This was no way to live a life, alone and frightened but she knew of no other way, this was how she'd always lived.
