Appearance: Six foot five inches, Ben is all muscle and intimidating presence. He wears his dark brown hair short, and occasionally sports a mustache and chinstrap beard. He has green-hazel eyes under thick eyebrows. He usually wears utilitarian clothing, a t-shirt and jeans or cargo pants. However when he works as a magician he wears a long dark cloak, mask, and three-piece black suit with a purple tie. His shoes of choice are usually black or brown combat boots.

Powers: Telepathic- He is moderately strong in the telepath department, especially when used in conjunction with his illusionary powers. However, he doesn’t rate up there with great telepaths like Charles Xavier. His telepathic powers are particularly useful for learning languages, though he doesn't know how to use it consciously.
Illusionary Powers- Partially part of his telepathic powers, he has the power to make a person see what he wants them to see. He can do this on the go, or “attach” it to a place for a while. These can be temporary or permanent, whichever he chooses. He has to have contact with what he wants to illusion if it is a stationary object that he won’t be around to maintain. These contact points leave it on a sort of “loop”. However if you’re inside an illusioned building, say, or touching a contact point, you see it for what it is, unless he's there to maintain it. This is the strongest of his powers. You can touch, taste, even smell his illusions. They're just as heavy or light as the object they seem to be.
Telekinetic- He’s also telekinetic. His telekinetic skills are not quite as strong as his telepathic powers, and not as much used.

Personality: Almost contrary to what his powers’d suggest, he’s a tough fighter who can take a bullet or two without much complaint, and an expert marksman. For all the talent Ben has for combat, he's lacking in social graces. He “says what no one wants to say” with no inhibitions, it seems, and manages to step on quite a few toes in the process. Not exactly subtlety itself. He will use his powers walking down the street or in battle, and while he can’t shapeshift, he seems to do so to observers.
Despite his generally brutish and simple manner, he regularly displays common sense and cunning. He always seems to be touching or smelling something,"tactile" compulsion. Ben tends to touch, smell and taste things habitually, being constantly in touch with his surroundings. He does this when he places an illusion on a thing, or just out of habit.
He’s a mercenary, almost always going to where the pay is best, but he’s also capable of staying where the pay may not be the best, where there is something he believes in or feels loyal to. His word is his law, and once he’s promised something, you can rest assured it will get done.

History:Born the fourth of august, he was an only child. He lived a normal life, though maybe not to some people. His parents were both in the military, his father a special ops soldier, his mother a mechanic. It was from her that he learned his initial mechanical abilities. They moved a lot around the world when he was young, traveling to US bases in different countries. He lived in five different places in his first seven years, in three countries, and aside from English learned Arabic, Japanese and Italian. He was shown to have an aptitude for language, maybe a latent part of his telepathic power.
In the next six years they moved ten times, once only staying four weeks before moving again. They followed his father around the world, because an army base always needs a mechanic, but his job required constant movement. When he was thirteen his powers showed, and he was recruited by the military and trained in the use of his power in combat situations, trained in combat without using his powers.
When he was eighteen he went on his first mission. It wasn't a hard life, though it could have been better and he sometimes wished to have had another choice. When he was twenty-nine he broke off from the army when his enlistment was up, instead of re-signing like he'd done previously. He used his special ops training to go underground, disappearing into society and evading their initial attempts at capture. He figures they have given up, having heard nothing from them in almost three years.
