Your Character:
Appearance: She is slim and tall. If compared to an animal she would be most like a ferret. She is not quite sure of her nationality. She is Caucasian, but she has lived nearly everywhere in the world. She weighs about ninety-six bounds, though she would rather not consciously know. She has always been taller than most kids her age. About five-eleven and a half. She has fair skin. Not pale and not dark but she refuses to tan. She believes that they look the way they do because it is how they where intended to be. She would never alter her appearance using something unnatural.
She has deep blue eyes, the colour of the sky about twenty minutes before dusk. She has long eyelashes that cares her cheeks when she blinks. Her hair is long and flows evenly. Past her waist, she can almost always be seen with a brush in her hands. It is hard to put up with but she loves it and always makes sure it looks nice. It is a dark crimson colour with black lowlights running thoroughly through it. She is prided on the fact that it is her natural colour. She has never died it. She keeps her nails long and pointed. Not of her doing, they just grow that way.
She wears the custom uniform of the X-Men. She does not alter it in any way. During the day or when not in her uniform she wears simple jeans of average colour, maybe slightly lighter than regular. She has five pairs of the same jeans and they are her favorite. Frayed at the bottom from natural roughing, the seam along the outside of the leg curves around. It starts at her hip like normal jeans and it continues along the leg strait until about the knee. Then it starts to cur around and the seam ends at the end of the jeans about an inch the left of her foot. She usually wears long sleeved white dress shirts. They are all slightly different, ranging from off white streaks running horizontally to ruffles down the chest. But that is rarely seen because she wears a black, sometimes grey vest over the shirt. She sews her own vests so she has a plethora of them and she can make one depending on her mood. She also has a very old dark grey, long-sleeved jacket. There are two rows of buttons and the flaps that button overlap each other.

Personality: She is calm and quiet. She doesn’t enjoy being around other people and she can often be seen sitting below a tree listening to music and reading. She doesn’t have any good friends and she barely knows the names of the students in her classes. She eats alone and has her own dorm. She doesn’t seem to notice, or she just doesn’t care that she could easily be ‘popular’ with her looks if she just developed the right attitude. She has never opened up to anyone except her brother. She finds very little funny and she rarely smiles or laughs. Like a brick wall, the only hint of feeling in her can be sent through her eyes. And all that can be seen is pain. She thinks it is her fault her brother was taken.
She doesn’t like technology. She isn’t a ludite but she doesn’t believe that technology should even exist. She doesn’t mind being around it. The sliding doors, the computers for class et cetera. She doesn’t really care abut it, but she doesn’t own anything technological of her own. The only exception is her iPod. And even then, she only has twenty songs on it.
She had always been extremely fast. Not as fast as someone with super speed, but for one without the power she can run incredibly far. She was on the track team at every school she attended and she was one of the bests at them all. She has also been training with daggers and swords, though she prefers to fight with her halberd. She fights with weapons because her ability is passive. She is also training martial arts, though she prefers using her weapons. She has also studied many languages including but not limited to English, French, German, Slovenian, Norwegian, Italian, Icelandic, Antarctic, Japanese, and Spanish.
She will fight for her side, though she isn’t exactly sure why she has chosen this side. She prefers not to think about the war in particular. To her, she is just at school, and this is what is required to pass the class.
Family: Her mother died when she was twelve from heat stroke. They where passing through the Sahara Desert and she had not taken the need precautions to pass safely. Her brother, her twin, was taken from them when he was fifteen.
History: She isn’t quite sure ware she was born but she know it was somewhere in Europe. She only lived there for about three months before moving to a new city. And this has been her life ever since. She’s never lived any where longer than eight months, though she has returned to the same places.
Her mother was the camera-man, director and star of her own documentary TV series on the animals of the world, and a second on the people and cultures of the world. Her father was a very well-loved author. They moved frequently and took their two children everywhere. From early on, both children learned to love the wildlife and the differences between people. The girl, Camille, had a knack for learning languages and she was always excited when they went somewhere with a new one to learn. The boy loved to see and learn new musical instruments from the native people that made and played them.
One day, they where passing through the Sahara desert and their mother passed out. She had not taken the needed precautions and later died from dehydration. Living on her dream, however, they continued moving and filming the show, however the whole family now worked together to make it happen.
When she was fourteen, both Cam and her brother started to do weird things. Cam could change the colour of her skin and David could freeze time. Neither of them where sure exactly what this meant until they told their father. They where currently living in Slovenia but they were nearly finished. On their way to Antarctica, the pair told their father.
Frightened for his children’s lives, he told them what he knew about mutants. Now, their father wasn’t a man that feared the mutants or what they could do. He only feared that the wrong people would get their hands on his children and hurt them. As a result, the filmed their final episode of the show documenting the Antarctica sea life. The trio settled down in the arctic tundra.
About a year later, the ‘wrong people’ found them. Due to her powers, Cam was able to blend in with the ground and hide herself. Unfortunately, her brother was not so lucky. They took him away. When her father returned from his weekly trip to the market, he was devastated. He started looking into some way to help his daughter stay alive. Eventually, he found out about the CIHL and she was quickly signed up. Before she left, her father gave her a final gift. She had always loved horses so he bought her a beautiful Thoroughbred and had him moved to the school. Now, she is attending the school under the code name of Chameleon, often just referred to as Cham.
She does not know if her brother was killed, but she has vowed to find him and save him if he is still alive.
Strengths: She can speak many languages and she is extremely intelligent. She has learned very quickly control over her abilities. She is also very quick, both witted and physically.
Weaknesses: She is sensitive about her family. She has assumed the death of her brother and it pains her deeply to know she wasn’t able to do anything about it. She is also very insecure around other people. She doesn’t interact much with other kids. She dislikes technology and refuses to use unless absolutely necessary. She doesn’t much care to know what is going on in the world and as a result, is bad with politics and other things that are important to being an X-Man. She is also not incredibly loyal to the ‘good’ side.
RP Sample: The morning was still dark and Kyle had awoken very early. It was about four thirty when he donned his riding uniform, simple jeans over his riding pants and a white shirt. His uniform had to be simple but elegant. Since he competed in both western and English competitions, he had to be able to easily change uniforms. His white shirt was soon covered by a beautiful black leather jacket He slipped his feet into his boots.
His dorm was small but he shared it with no one, making life much easier. There weren’t as many guys here so most of them got their own room. Kyle was one of the few riders who had taken a strong interest this year. Most of the others had goofed around and rarely attended sessions. But Kyle was passionate about his love for horses. So passionate, in fact that he was granted the permission of keeping two horses at the school. In fact, he didn’t even own a TV. The closest he had was a portable DVD player and a laptop. The only movies Kyle owned were horse movies, Flicka, Racing stripes, and Figure-skating movies like Blades of Glory and The Cutting Edge. The only thing Kyle loved as much as horses was the ice. When he wasn’t at school or training with his horses, he was at the rink training with his partner.
In the corner nearest his bed sat his Western equipment. Unlike most students, he preferred to keep his tack in his room instead of the tack room. There, there was too much potential of it being stolen or destroyed. A beautiful black saddle that matches his jacket perfectly. His bridle and ropes were black as well. In the other corner sat his English tack. Pure white, like snow it shone even in no light. But that was for another day. Today he would be doing barrels. He picked his saddle up and put on his back, strapping the girth around his shoulder and down by his waist. **Like a quiver of arrows is strapped across yer chest** He adjusted it so it was comfortable. It was heavy, yes, but it was in perfect condition. He threaded his rope through his belt buckles and tied it at his waist. Grabbing his bridle and other equipment he hurried out of his room.
He entered the stables which, thankfully, were nearby his dorm. Kyle entered the stable nearest the entrance. Inside, a beautiful Clydesdale stallion whinnied to see his master and friend. Grinning, Kyle entered the stable. He grabbed the brush from the stand in the corner and let it fall onto his friends coat. Barely thinking, he brushed his mount down until he was shinier than the English tack. It was about five thirty and he knew some people would be up soon. He patted his friend on the nose. He didn’t need to talk for it seemed the old horse knew what his rider was thinking. Filling the trough with food, he closed the stable door and headed to the next one.
Inside was a beautiful, much younger brown stallion Mustang. He opened the door and the younger horse whinnied and pounded at the ground. “Dreamer.” His voice was clam but the horse seemed to know the command. Quieting down, the horse trotted around his pen in circles. Kyle held up the brush and the horse stopped, standing perfectly still. He spoke to Dreamer as he brushed the young horse down. “I promised Arctic I would take him to the barrels today but if I return early I will take you out. I know you are eager to learn but with the competition soon I need to make sure he is ready. You’re a good boy aren’t you my Dreamer.” The horse nodded his head vigorously and Kyle grinned.
The sun was starting to rise and he could hear voices out side. He patted the horse on the neck and filled his trough with the same food as Arctic’s. He left the stable and entered Arctic’s. Leaving the door open, he beckoned his horse forward. At a normal pace, the horse stepped out of the stable and headed out into the open. Kyle locked the door and walked after his horse.
He walked up to the post to find Arctic standing there obediently, with no rope. As always, there was no need to tie up his free spirit. The two trusted each other and knew they could never be apart. Kyle threw the bridle over the post as he undid the girth. He set the saddle on the post as well and lifted the saddle blanket onto his ponies back. Making sure it was up on the right portion of the back, he lifted the saddle one handed onto the horse. He walked around to Arctic’s other side and strapped the girth squarely around the horses stomach.
He fitted the bit into Arctic’s mouth and strapped the rest of the bridal around the horses head. Once finished he put his foot into the stirrup and set himself squarely on the saddle. Without saying a word and with out any kicking movements, the horse started off. He walked slowly at first then picked up speed to a quicker walk. He could see traces that other riders had left already and he knew he would find them on the trail. Arctic picked up speed and started into a trot. Being in western he had no need to post so he sat in the saddle one hand on the reigns the other on the horn. Arctic went into a lope and was off.
It wasn’t long before he caught up with some other riders on the trail. He recognized a few of them, ones that ad been champion riders but had decided to have a social life instead of a professional one. He came up behind them. They seemed to be talking more than practicing. “Left side.” He called out.
