Appearance: If you were to open a dictionary and go to “Beautiful”, some argue that Casey’s picture would be the first one you see. She’s 2 years older then her brother thus making her 21 years old. There is no mistaken that she and Lance are brother and sister. She has the same darkened tan all over her body though several shades lighter and the same Southern drawl. She’s a bit small at 5 feet 7 inches tall and 120 pounds. Her arms and legs are scrawny without a whole lot of meat on them yet her midsection makes up for that is the muscles department.
She has slightly wavy jet black hair that goes down to her waist. She often keeps that up in a ponytail. She has bi-hued eyes: one a bright green and the other black. You can’t tell the iris from the pupil on her black eye! Yet her eyes like her brother’s have the same soul piercing quality. She’s not a fancy kind. She is often seen wearing flip flops, a pair of jeans, a tank top and her sunglasses. These sapphire glasses are very important. Since she has the DNA of every animal alive, extinct and imaginary in her genes, her eyes have gone kooky. That’s the reason for the strange coloring. Without those glasses, she’ll go blind in minutes.

Two sides, one person. Casey is a very complex individual. She can be very kind and compassionate. She would go out of her way to help anyone. She would never look down on people even the Acolytes! She will always be there for you. And she is a fiercely loyal and protective friend though she can be a bit overprotective. She will put her life on the line for you. Her other side is much darker. She can be very mean and sarcastic. This is mainly when she has lost control over her animal instincts. Either way she is a hot headed girl who will sometimes act before she thinks. This usually gets her into trouble.

History:
Casey’s history since Lance is her brother is the same so here it is again: the Tavernier siblings’ history!
Casey and her brother, Lance were born in Houston, Texas where they happily lived the first twelve years of their lives. Nothing of great importance happened. You know it was a fairy tale life. They had parents who loved them, a roof over their heads, clothes, food, great friends and most importantly…each other! They were honor students; they had everything they ever wanted! Then everything began to fall apart when their mutant powers began to show. It was confusing at first because no one in any part of the family on either side were mutants, only Casey and Lance.
After that, every member of the family shunned and pretty much hated Casey and Lance because they were mutants. They were scared but instead of trying to understand them, they let their fears take over and began to emotionally abuse them. They wouldn’t let their kids play with them or even let them hang out with the siblings. At first their parents were nervous but they eventually accepted them and loved them for who they were. But they were the only ones. Even their grandparents who had loved them to pieces had begun to distance themselves from Casey and Lance. Casey and Lance lived protected lives now that their family and friends were shunning them and threatening them with injuries and even death. The two become even closer to their parents and to each other forming an unbreakable bond.
But that bond was tested big time when one night during the full moon a large group of MRD agents stormed their house and began to arrest the siblings for being unregistered mutants. They did not know this until later but as a matter of fact, it was their grandparents who turned the siblings into the MRD. Their parents tried defending them but the officers opened fire severely injuring their mother, Marcela, and killing their father, Keith, instantly. They later found out that their mother died from her injuries during the fight with the MRD agents. The siblings were devastated.
After that, Casey and Lance moved to California. It was a bit of a culture shock at first and they had a tough time getting jobs and making money but the brother and sister duo eventually found an apartment and were doing well with their jobs, but not knowing about their family has made the change difficult. After their parents died, they were disowned by the rest of the family and were threatened with death if they ever returned. They haven’t spoken to any member of their family in four years! So now they have stumbled upon the academy. So what side will they choose? Only Casey and her brother know…
Strengths:
1. Strong sense of justice
2. Ability to shape shift quickly
3. Extreme kindness and compassion
4. Good sense of judgment
5. If she stays in one form for a long time, she will keep that animal’s senses for up to 24 hours afterwards.
6. Always seem to bring out the good in others
Weaknesses:
1. If startled, she will change into two animals at once. Makes for some interesting hybrids.
2. If she shifts a lot, she will get low on energy until she passes out. Not ideal in the battlefield.
3. Can get real fiery tempered and angered to the post where she looses control over her predatory animal instincts
4. Does not know when to quit. She will run herself and others to their breaking points. She will go on and on and on till she either succeeds or is killed.
5. Fighting her brother. Or doing anything that will hurt him.
6. She cannot be out in the sun without her blue sapphire sunglasses on. She will go blind if she is exposed to any sunlight without them on.

Casey gasped as she basically scared herself awake. She looked around, eyes glowing green as she had not yet gone back to human eyesight. Not in this place. She still saw the electrified bars, the metal walls, and the cursed black collar around her neck and then she saw him. What the hell was he doing here?! Did he want to get himself caught?! Was he really that crazy?!
"Haru!" She whispered harshly in surprise. This was unexpected. Oh this guy was risking his life for her! And she didn't even know him! Oh this was just pure insanity! Casey muttered and cursed as she tried to slip the collar over her head but the band of leather was tight almost like a choke collar. After a few minutes of fruitless struggling, Casey had had enough. "Claw of the tiger." Casey groaned as little as the sharp, curved 5-inch black claws grew from her fingertips. Casey growled in determination once again as she took her fingers and wrapped them firmly around the black collar…her claws were digging into the tough material—and pulled as hard as she could. Casey winched as the claws slightly dug into her neck but that didn't matter. She wasn't gonna get out of here in one piece if she wasn't able to shape shift. Finally after what seemed like forever--although it was only five minute--the black leather finally gave way to the razor sharp claws. Casey smirked in satisfaction as she saw the leather hit the ground.
"You fools can't stop me that easily." She whispers more to herself then to anyone else as she shrinks down into a small black and yellow spotted mouse. She expertly shimmies through the electric bars unharmed then she turns into a white tiger. The tiger girl growled angrily as she stumbled. This is not the place to get disorientated! She had many small cuts and bruises all over her body despite receiving them in her human form. They transferred to whatever animals she shifted into, and the nasty gash over her left eye stung as she blinked. The smell of blood and the feeling of it dripping into her eye almost made the girl sick but she held her nerve in as she looked around cautiously.
"Thanks for coming to get me. I sure do owe you one." the tiger mutters blushing from embarrassment if you can imagine such a thing. "Now let's get outta here." She shudders as she creeps around a corner. Then all of a sudden a man's scream and a tiger's roar could be heard throughout the entire corridor...
