Powers: Energy Absorption: ability enables him to absorb all forms of radiant or conductive energy that are directed towards him and to release that energy from his hands or eyes. Can also store absorbed energy within his personal reserves, whereupon the energy increases his strength and recuperative abilities, as well as affording him a measure of invulnerability.

Personality: Darek is a childish being who doesn’t want to grow up. He prefers to just have mindless fun not caring who gets hurt in the process. Not really taught the full values of right and wrong he just lives through life. He is always up for trying out new things as long as they don’t involve his fears. Extremely stubborn he only does things on his time unless the right words are used to persuade him otherwise.
In a sense Darek is madly insane at some times talking to his self or inanimate objects. Beyond all of this he is pretty dependable to rely on. At times he has his snapping moments to were he just goes on a rampage. He just explains it as, “needing a release, don’t we all?” Still there are many things wrong with Darek like his multiple personalities that he has. Darek uses his insanity as a ploy for people to leave him alone.
The “real” Darek has been long gone what walks the world is just another personality that just calls himself Darek. At any time he can stop be a fun loving jokester and show his cold-hearted side, he just chooses to be the jokester kid because it is easier. He gets jealous easily when he sees people with a loving family or good friends because that is what he wants.
Family:
History: Once Darek found out about his mutant powers at the age of seven he fled home not happy with his life. Living on the streets he eventually joined a gang. That gang was led by an ex-special force member and each member were put through intense training. Darek found it hilarious and fun to do. Later on after killing many people he found it boring that he wasn’t allowed to kill people with his mutant powers. Only because they were mutant haters, tired of hiding he killed half the gang and ran off to join some other group.
The next group was the brotherhood, eventually that became a bore after being beaten so many times. Annoyed with that Darek decided to go on his own for a while, that didn’t last long as his powers weren’t acting right. Seeking help in the only place he knew he went to his ex-enemies the X-men. Apparently he needs to discharge every few moment with his powers.
Joining them wasn’t his best ideas because of all of their rules, but it was fun. He enjoys the danger room the best. Unfortunetly most students don’t trust him, he doesn’t care, but at the same time wants a friend.
Strengths: Excellent tracker, good at hand-to-hand combat, sharpshooter, & good thief
Weaknesses: Can't swim, is claustrophobic, overly sensitive to his senses, mentally unstable, can’t read.
RP Sample: "Oh please!" Darek says as he stares at the TV in the electronic store. People complaing about the wide spread terror that mutants are causing and how much of an issue they are. So it was somewhat true, but from what he's experinced in his life is that humans are also the problem. They are too closed minded to do anything right.
All this stress was causing Darek's powers to act up, and of course he just had to be near so many electronics. The absorption process was already starting, he could stop it at any time, but it felt to go to drain things. White electricty popped from the televisions and the other electrical items in the store. All beginning to be siphioned into Darek's body. Someone shouted out the "mutie" word.
That made things worse for everyone, Darek is a very petty person. Pointing his hands in the direction of the person who said it he held back. It would be too easy and probably feel real good to blast him, but he was an X-men and X-men don't blast. They just ignore and wait for things to take their course, blah, blah, blah. he thought before lowering his hand.
"Today's your lucky day pal, I've had a change of heart." More like a change of alliance. Oh I miss the days, but this time I'll try my hardest to stay loyal to this group.
