Appearance: Xav is five-seven, long-limbed and sparsely built. Her muscles are well-defined but not bulky, and she has a bit of a waist but not much. Her black hair is shoulder length and frames her face. Her black eyes are separated by a snub nose.
Being a shapeshifter, she usually goes for plain t-shirts and jeans, topped by a short jean jacket. She usually changes back with her clothes, but in emergencies or when injured sometimes cannot focus properly so she looses them.

Shapeshifter- As suggested by her name, she can shapeshift into felines of the Panthera genus; the tiger, lion, leopard and jaguar. Her shapeshifting accords her with every power of her animal, but to a large degree she looses this when she shifts back. She can halt shifting partly between, where she is half and half.
Extraordinary hearing, balance & flexibility- She has the ears and tail of a big cat while in her human form, which gives her the aforementioned abilities.
Shapeshifting Telepathy- Panthera’s telepathy skills are weak, unless she’s shapeshifted, then they are moderately strong. She’s almost equal at projection and reception, but receiving is just the bit stronger.

Personality: With a silvery sarcastic tongue, Xav is a smooth talker who will insult you and move on before you realize it was an insult. She figures most people need to be taken down a notch or two, and applies her incredible intelligence to just that. She's not mean about it, just obnoxious. Usually.
Mentally, she’s a little unstable, starting when she was 16 and first showed signs of being a mutant. She’s not crazy, per se, but along with her ability to shift into powerful cats comes a price. She sometimes forgets she’s human, sticking herself in whatever form she’s in at the moment. Usually she acts just as if being a mind-talking cat is normal, but instincts kick in easily in this form, and she acts on them. If Medic steals some of her energy, that usually solves the problem, but it keeps happening.

History: Born in Pensacola Florida, she is obviously Southern in her speech and actions. She was the only young child in her neighborhood until the Kamerens moved in, and even then it was a while before the two, pushed together by their parents, became friends.
Xaviera was a mouthful, so she went by Xav all through her childhood. Unlike Alex, she didn’t take any martial arts classes, preferring ballet, but she did learn some moves to appease her friend.
When she was sixteen she starting showing signs of shapeshifting, and started wearing a beanie hat to cover her ears. It wasn’t long after her seventeenth birthday that shelost control for the first time and shifted in a crowd at school. The crowd triggered the first of her ‘instinctual incidents’ and she lashed out, accidently killing a few people.
It wasn’t long after this that she left town with Medic, and they started wandering west.
